Where Humans Meet AI
Compare AI tools without the technical jargon. Discover what ChatGPT and other AI tools can do, how they differ, and what each has to offer.
COMPARE AI
ChatGPT
ChatGPT is the best-known conversational AI. You can ask questions, write messages, or get help with ideas. It’s free to start using AI. A
paid version offers faster replies and more features. Most of us already know how to use Google. You type in what you are looking for,
press search and Google gives you a list of websites to look through. ChatGPT works differently. Instead of giving you a list of websites,
you can ask it a question and it will answer you directly. So what's the difference, and when might you use one instead of the other?
When you search on Google, it looks for websites that might have the information you are looking for. For example, if you search for
holidays in Spain, Google might show you travel companies, hotel websites, maps, reviews, news articles and other websites.
You then choose which websites you want to visit and look through the information yourself.
ChatGPT
ChatGPT is different because you can ask it a question in ordinary language and it will reply to you.
For example, you could ask:
Where in Spain would be good for a quiet holiday in October?
ChatGPT will answer your question, and you can then ask another question about its answer.
You could ask about the weather, places to visit, what to pack or ask it to explain something in more detail.
This means you can have a conversation rather than starting a new search every time.
So which one do you use?
It depends on what you are trying to do. Google can be useful when you want to find websites, shops, maps, businesses, news or other
information from around the internet. ChatGPT can be useful when you want to ask questions, understand something, get help with
writing, come up with ideas or have something explained more simply. You don't have to choose one or the other. You can use both.
For example, you might use ChatGPT to help you plan a holiday and then use Google to find the hotel, check its website, look at the
location and compare prices.
One thing to remember
ChatGPT can make mistakes, so important information should be checked, especially if you are making a decision based on the answer.
The more you use both, the easier it becomes to understand what each one is useful for. SayHi-AI is an independent
